"I wish I would have done this when I was younger!" This is one of the most frequently heard statements in our office once we present orthodontic treatment options to our adult patients.

In recent years, more and more adults are taking advantage of orthodontic services to improve their dental function and enhance their facial and dental appearance. While facial growth is no longer alterable other than by surgery, significant dental changes and improvements can be accomplished in the adult patient.

Orthodontic appliances available today for the esthetic conscious adult range from invisible/removable to lingual (placed on the inside of the teeth rather than the outside) to traditional appliances (in stainless steel or porcelain) reduced in size to minimize their appearance and maximize patient comfort.

We have many adults in our practices who, after bringing their children to the office for evaluation, asked us, "By the way, can anything be done for my teeth?" The answer is a resounding yes!
